We've had a lot of fun this month.
The kids rode in a float at the Sweet Potato Festival held in Ocilla Georgia on October 25. Some of our Wednesday night teachers handed out tracks and free water to people as visitors shopped at different vendors booths.
Then on October 29, the Y/C Department sponsored it's First Annual Fall Festival Carnival.
Some games were; Pick-a-Stick, where kids picked a stick and got the number of pieces of candy that matched the color on the sick; Pie Toss, where kids got to throw a whip cream pie at Mrs. Leia's face; Hidden Treasure, where kids dug in sand to find the hidden coins; Fish'in, where kids held a fishing pole behind a curtain and pulled it out to see the cup was full of candy; Shave the Balloon, where kids used a popsicle stick to shave a balloon and tried not to pop it; Bean Bag Toss, where kids tossed a bean bag into some buckets to win candy; Football throw, where kids threw a football into a Target to see how much candy they could win; Basketball; Horse shoes; and face painting. Pop corn and Kool-aid were served.
There was a raffle where people won prizes donated by local businesses here in Fitzgerald.
Things rapped up about 8:30 with around 200 people coming to play.
It was a lot of fun.
